WHAT:
NBS is a bi-weekly, virtual, strength, mobility, and self-care program for movement professionals. Our goal is to be physically and mentally Nimble, Balanced & Strong.
We meet virtually twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:55 - 10 am EST
The class has a mixture of movement exploration, body care, strength training, and mobility work. My training is inspired by martial arts, dance, acrobatics, yoga, calisthenics, and traditional or non-traditional strength training.
WHO:
This class is intended for multidisciplinary movement professionals (dancers, yogis, movement teachers, physical therapists, other healers, and therapists).*
This class is not appropriate for beginners with no consistent movement practice or anyone with major acute injuries or limitations.
If you are in the ladder group, please reach out to me about private training instead.
NBS is generally a closed group, but if you think you will fit the group or were invited, please message me at info@trainp3.com and mention what day you would like to join, and follow the directions below to register.
WHY:
The goal is to nourish our bodies, expand our practice, and sharpen our physical skills while strengthening our connection and awareness of the body.
To train, explore, play, and learn with a fun, international community that inspires and keeps each other accountable.
To move in ways that are productive, purposeful, and strengthening, while also playful, healing, and balancing.
EQUIPMENT:
We will make whatever setup you have work, but the more tools you have, the more possibilities we can create during training.
NEED TO HAVE:
Space to move (at least length of your body x length of your body)
Functional internet connection and video capability
A stable chair, box, bench, or table you can safely step on
Something to slide (socks or towel on wooden floor or sliders on carpet)
Bands or weights or heavier objects to lift (e.g. 2 bottles of wine, rocks, or backpack full of books)
NICE TO HAVE:
Pull-up bar
Suspension system (gymnastic rings, TRX, etc)
Yoga blocks (cork is ideal)
Bands of different resistances
Dumbbells, kettlebells, or other free weights with varied weight
A yoga mat
A stick or dowel
Parallettes
HOW TO JOIN:
If this is your first class with me, please email me at into@trainp3.com to let me know what day you will be joining and any intentions or small injuries you have
